Press Event Roundup: Epson x John Herrera, Eau Yes Guess, Carmina de Dios x Idee, Barbie Loves Plains & Prints, and Penshoppe’s Anti-Bullying Campaign
Hey, everyone! These past few months have been so eventful, with me attending press events left and right for both Greta’s Junkyard and Calyxta. Instead of writing about each event in separate posts, I decided to compile everything in this one! Check out all the events that took place from September to early November, which are now all up on Calyxta’s Beauty Buzz section!

I think every girl, at one point in her life, had an obsession with @barbie. I had my own collection, and I used to bring them everywhere! My favorite was the mermaid Barbie and I had a Barbie and Kelly combo complete with a stroller. 😂 I think the huge role that Barbie played in all of our lives is exactly what makes the #BarbieLovesPlainsAndPrints Holiday Collection so nostalgic. The pieces are all inspired by what Barbie Dolls would wear, yet still maintain the timelessness of @plainsandprints’ clothing. I can super imagine myself wearing all of them this holiday season, especially to events and reunions. 😍 I also had a lot of fun attending this launch with my life-sized Barbie Doll in tow, who I kept dragging around to take photos of in every corner of the #PlainsAndPrintsExperience dollhouse—my baby girl and Editorial Assistant, @maaanfernandez. I think this is the happiest I’ve seen her, in all of the events we’ve attended together for @calyxtabeauty. 😂 She loves her pink just as much as I love my purple! Anyway, more about this Barbie x Plains & Prints collaboration soon on #GretasJunkyard and #CalyxtaBeauty. 💜
Love, love, love @penshoppe’s CSR campaign that focuses on anti-bullying, and encourages people to fully embrace what makes them different. Looking back at all the times I was made fun of, was taken advantage of because I was a pushover, and was picked on for being weird and awkward, I can’t help but laugh it off now because it was precisely those moments that made me stronger and gave me a better perspective. I was extremely insecure growing up because I always believed I wasn’t the smartest nor the prettiest (sometimes, I have a tendency to still believe that) and I tried to overcompensate by playing softball and Ultimate, learning how to play the piano and guitar and joining a band, and working really, really hard to get what I want (to the point that I sometimes obsess over it). But nowadays, because I’ve fully embraced what makes me ME (love for writing, wrestling, makeup, Ultimate, Draco Malfoy, and all), I’m a lot more stable and it’s become easier to brush off comments from people who don’t really matter. As long as I surround myself with people who genuinely have my best interests at heart, and who love and accept me despite my flaws and eccentricities, all izzz gooood. 🤘🏻 Kudos to #Penshoppe for promoting self-love, and for emphasizing that it’s okay to be different. 💜 #IAmDifferent #GretasJunkyard #DamingHugotSaSinabi #LOL
